This week I had the honor of sharing my Monday morning with some of the students at Rockford’s East High School for a casual conversation about the importance of having goals and creating a plan to achieve them. There was a diverse group of students in the group and I was thoroughly impressed with the respect they showed me by giving me their full attention and willingly participating in the conversation. I left feeling inspired and hopeful that our time together could make a difference for one or more of them.
To all the young men and women in attendance, thank you for sharing so openly with me and to the staff at East High School in Rockford, I am grateful for the opportunity and the kind words you shared with me about the event.
